Þegar fréttir komu af því að Donald Rumsfeld hafði sagt af sér mundi ég eftir hanns frægu spakmælum:

"There are known knowns.
These are things we know that we know.
There are known unkowns.
That is to say, there are things we know we don't know.
But, there are also unknown unknowns.
These are things we don't know we don't know."

Muniði eftir þessu rugli hanns? George Bush hefur líka komið frá sér svipað gáfulegum "spakmælum".

"Most of our imports come from outside the country."

"It's not pollution that is damaging our little ones' health
it's the impurities in our air and water"
